On August 11, 2013, my family and I trekked up to Folsom, California to participate in the USAP Folsom Sprint Triathlons.
The Folsom Sprint Triathlons consisted of three distances: The Long course (which is a half Ironman distance, the Olympic course and the Sprint course. Each course was represented in my family. My mom tackled the Long course, my baby brother on the Olympic and I was on the sprint.
We were lucky to have my dad photographing a lot of the event. He was still recovering from the Vineman 140.3 that he had completed back on July 27, so this was a day for my mom, my baby brother and me to shine!
This is going to be a different kind of race recap. There are lots of photos to share. If I have to say one thing about my race, IT WAS A CHALLENGE. I will definitely be back next year for redemption. 🙂
Overall, it was a BEAUTIFUL day in Folsom, and all of us had a great time!
Thanks for browsing through this recap. It’s not very often that we get our own personal photographer at races. Shout out to my daddy for the awesome shots!
